Douglas M. Brown’s career includes service as a strategic intelligence analyst with the US Army, positions with Wells Fargo, and Executive Vice President at Crocker Bank. In 1986, he became CEO of the ABQ Corporation, the largest financial company in New Mexico. He and a partner built Talbot Financial Services into a nationwide company with revenues of $2 billion. He then became CEO of Tuition Plan Consortium, a non-profit prepaid tuition program for pri-vate universities, where he expanded the program from six participating schools to 275, earning him BusinessWeek’s “Best product of the year” in 2003. Mr. Brown was formerly New Mexico State Treasurer and has recently retired as Dean of the Anderson School of Man-agement at the University of New Mexico. Albuquerque Business First recognized him as Top CEO of the Year, 2013. A business leader and philanthropist, he has served on over fifty boards of directors, including chairmanships of United Way, Albuquerque Community Foundation, and Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. He has served on the Stanford Board of Trustees and the Regents of the University of New Mexico. Mr. Brown holds a BA in history and MBA from Stanford University.
