Catherine Allen is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of The Santa Fe Group, a strategic consulting firm which special-izes in briefings to C-level executives and boards of directors at financial institutions and other critical infrastructure companies in the areas of cyber security, risk management, emerging technologies, and strategy. For more than 30 years, she has been an outstanding leader in technology strategy and financial services, and a key thought leader in business innovation. She was the founding CEO of the financial services industry consortium, BITS, working closely with CEOs, CIOs and executives at the nation’s largest financial institutions on strategic issues facing the industry. BITS’ accomplishments under her leadership included creating best practices in more than 30 areas of financial services management. Earlier in her career, Ms. Allen worked for Dun and Bradstreet, Citicorp, and served as a consultant to CBS, Inc. on new technologies and international trade. She was a professor at American University’s Kogod College of Business Administration. Ms. Allen sits on the corporate boards of Synovus Financial and El Paso Electric and just rotated off Stewart Title Information Services. She is also on the Advisory Boards of Houlihan Lokey and Women Corporate Directors, and is a board member of numerous local and national non-profit organizations, including Co-Chairing the University of Missouri Capital Campaign and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. She previously sat on the New Mexico State Investment Council.
